About KNHS
Kekinow Native Housing Society is a not-for-profit organization that provides subsidized, affordable, long-term rental accommodation for people of Indigenous ancestry.
We provide safe and affordable housing for Indigenous people.
Our values reflect the traditional culture of our diverse Indigenous ancestry. We honor our cultures by fostering the physical, spiritual, emotional and intellectual elements of human life.
Accordingly, our organization and staff:
- Act with integrity, honesty, and transparency to demonstrate accountability to the community.
- Treat all tenants, applicants, and volunteers with dignity and respect.
- Demonstrate care and compassion for our tenants, without compromising the fair and consistent application of social policies and rules.

Our Homes
Kekinow Native Housing Society aims to provide more affordable and better quality housing for Indigenous people residing in the Lower Mainland. Our units range in size from 1 to 3 bedrooms, some units being handicap-accessible. Our complexes also include an outdoor children’s play area.

Mission
To carry out programs consistent with the goals of truth and reconciliation for the provision of safe and affordable housing for Indigenous persons having low income in the communities we serve and specifically:
- To acquire, construct, hold, supply, operate, manage, and maintain affordable housing, and.
- To receive, take, hold, enjoy and manage all gifts, devises, bequests, legacies, and donations of property that are given to it.
